Following an announcement from the Football Association on 3rd November, all matches and training for amateur football will be suspended from the 5th November until the 2nd December 2020.

We await further guidance from the Football Association to confirm if we can play on the 5th December 2020.

We are all sad that football can no longer continue. The club had done a lot of work to make the Clubhouse, training and matches safe spaces. In recent weeks where you couldn’t go into the pub with people you didn’t live with; go round to your friend’s house; or see your work pals, football was one of the last things you could do for fun. We hope that you find other safe and fun ways to fill your time while there is no amateur football to play or watch.

In the meanwhile, you can join the AP Strava group to prove to your captain / teammates that you are keeping in shape (or perhaps working to get in shape).

Here’s hoping that you all stay happy and healthy over the next month or so, and that once Lockdown Part 2 is over we can get back to those glorious Saturday afternoons at the Racecourse as soon as possible.
