Goals: Gunes (2), Robinson, O’Leary

After the debacle that was the previous week, we wanted a big reaction. We started a bit tentatively, with the swirling winds causing a bit of havoc in our own half. The defence was however superbly marshalled by Bardgie in goal, and Harry and Dan were superb at fullback. We took the lead when Les rinsed the fullback and put a ball across for Ozzy to knock in (taking about 5 swings at it) from within the 6 yard box. The second goal was a penalty – Nana was set away down the left and unceremoniously dumped to the ground by the keeper. Ozzy stepped up and hammered it in off the cross bar.

After half time, the game was much in the same vein – the oppo couldn’t really get the ball off us. They did make it interesting with 30 to play when there centre midfielder was given enough space in midfield to hit a Worldy from 25 yards. However, a

Neat lob by Frankie soon after killed the game off, and 4th goal was added by Conor as he was set clean through and slid under the keeper.

A good performance and a great response from last week.

MOTM – 3 way tie for me – Harry a revelation at Fullback, Mike Hubbard pulled the strings in centre mid and Murray was superb foraging behind Ozan.

Team – Bardgett, Thatcher, Wilding, McLoughlin, Jeater, Hubbard, Hancock, Duff, Kadua, Manu, Gunes, Robinson, O’Leary, Kortevoss.
