A horror show this one. Appropriate for Halloween, but extremely disappointing given the pre-match team talk and the hope we had learned some lessons from the week before versus the same opposition in the cup. Eric missed this one through flu. Good call skipper! The first 20 minutes we gave the ball away, failed to cover, mark, tackle or show any sort of cohesion. It was just too easy for Broomfield to pierce our defence. Their first four goals were down to individual errors in or around our box. Tyrone had no chance. At 4-0 down we started to play. Marcel scored with a chip from a tight angle then Darren went round the keeper after a great through ball from James Kennedy. Just when I thought we were back in it, Tyrone came of his line when he didn’t have to and it was 5. The half finished with AP 7-2 down. The second half saw Broomfield dominate but thanks to Tyrone Broomfield didn’t get into double figures. Andrew Brown deservedly scored late on. On another day he could have had 4 or 5. It was a quiet dressing room afterwards.
