The 1’s and 3’s both kept up their promotion pushes with emphatic victories this weekend. A Matt Kelly hat trick saw off Old Stationers which puts the 1’s needing only 3 more points to ensure promotion. The 3’s put 7 past Old Lyonians to close the gap on Crouch End at the top of the table, Shaw-Morris scoring a brace and Adam Bruce with a hat trick. The Reserves lost 3-1 to league leaders Old Wilsonians. The 4’s got back to winning ways and climbed further away from the bottom of the table with a 3-0 win over Winchmore Hill 5’s. The 5’s were unlucky to lose 2-1 away to Winchmore Hill 7’s, Gatenby with AP goal. A bad day at the office for the 6’s who lost 4-0 at home to Old Owens in the early kick-off. Despite taking a 2 goal lead the 7’s could only return with a point from EBOGs drawing 3-3, Tullett, Roberts and evergreen Wayne Rose with the goals. The 8’s beat local rivals Crouch End 3-1 thanks to goals from Croft, Knight and captain Simon Tolcher.
