The 2012 Alexandra Park Club AGM will take place on Sundat 11th March 2012 at 11.15am in the clubhouse.

Please attend if at all possible.

The formal agenda for this meeting will be circulated shortly together with any other documentation applicable.

The Club requires the active support of its Members in order to meet the various demands of administration and to ensure the necessary help and support is in place to run it in practical and cost-effective terms to the benefit of all members.

It is the intention to hold playing subscriptions at more or less the same level as those that have been applicable since 2008. While marginal amendments are being proposed, these are largely reflective of the demanding financial times in which we are all operating and the Club’s Management Committee has taken these into account. The proposals need every member to realise that adequate income to run the Club requires prompt payment of subscriptions, match and training fees as applicable, and essential support for the bar and the social functions arranged.

The Club has ever-increasing rent, rates, ground and clubhouse maintenance costs (fuel oil/electricity to highlight just two) and all income achieved is reinvested in the Club. In 2011 the Club was able to purchase new grass cutting equipment to replace the time-expired gang mowers – essential to keep the Club operational but no small financial commitment.

A little assistance goes a long way at AP!

Please consider what you can do to help the Club.

Being elected to one of the sub-Committees does not mean you have to attend endless meetings but just be willing to help in a practical way as needed.

Please make the effort to attend the AGM and support those willing to give of their time to make APC work for us all.

Light refreshments will be available at the conclusion of the meeting – and the bar will, of course, be opened after the formal business of the meeting has been concluded.
