A 4-2 defeat by the league leaders was no disgrace, but if the 8s had defended as well in the first half as they did in the second we could have come away with a good result.
No time for a full match report but, despite a first defeat in six matches, all of the 8s lads showed excellent fighting spirit to make the home team work hard for the points. Special mentions must go to Emlyn, George, Matt and Jack for strong performances, and James Broome, who had an excellent 2nd half at full back. Olly Tolcher was also a constant threat and got another goal from the spot, plus an assist with a great cross from the left.
MOM goes to Paddy Knight, who did really well on his debut and scored an excellent header.
