The 2's in action vs Old Wokingians
The 1’s continued their winning ways and stay on top of the league by beating Sinjun Grammarians 6-3 at the Racecourse, Kelly on the scoresheet twice, O’Leary, Gunyon, Kenga and Jones with the other goals. The 2’s resurgence continues with a 2-0 win over Old Wokingians to go through to the next round of the AFA Intermediate Cup, Jeater and Thrale with the AP goals. The 3’s were held 1-1 at Old Latymerians and drop to second in the league, Fullerton with the AP goal. The 4’s fought back from being 3-1 down but then conceded a last minute goal to lose 4-3 to Winchmore Hill 6’s, Jack Morris with a fine lob, Dan Gyapon and Angelo from the spot for AP. The 5’s made easy work of Old Actonians to advance to the 3rd round of the SAL Senior Novets Cup, Doddimead with a brace and Firth with the goals. The 6’s fought back from 2-0 to win 3-2 away at Old Owens, goals from Blade(2) and Mellows turning the result around. Goals from Fletcher and Bowhill earned the 7’s a credible 2-2 draw away at EBOGs while the 8’s conceded two late goals to Old Parks at home to lose 2-0 in the league.
