We’re pleased to say football will be coming back next week (unless there is a sudden unexpected Government u-turn in the coming days). Can’t wait to see some rusty first touches and even more balls being launched far into the bushes at the Racecourse.

Training

Training begins on Tuesday 30 March at 6pm until dark for the 1-4s at the Racecourse.

Training begins on Wednesday 31 March at 6pm until dark for the 5-9s & new players at the Racecourse.

Women’s training will also begin on Wednesday 31 March at 6pm at the Racecourse. 

You must book your slot at training, and you can book a slot on our website from 6pm on Sunday. Cost is £5 a player (£3 concessions). If you book and don’t turn up, you will be expected to pay.

League Update

Men’s

The SAL has cancelled the leagues for this season. Only SAL Cups will continue, starting on the weekend of April 3rd, for those teams still involved and mini-leagues will be set up starting the weekend of April 10th. We have entered all teams in these mini leagues and expect details to be available after the Easter weekend.

Women’s

The GLWFL will be continuing with the league competition in a reduced format. Leagues will be split based on PPG from before lockdown and a single round will be played against teams in each split. Fixtures are to begin from the weekend of April 10th.

Vets

The SAL Vets will be continuing all competitions (league, Saturday Shield and Sunday Cup). The league will consist of one round. Fixtures will begin the weekend of April 3rd.
