Presentation Evening this Saturday

Forget the Ballon d’Or. Sack off Sports Personality of the Year. This is the only awards ceremony that matters.

Get yourself down the club house from 7pm for an evening of celebration, commiseration, reasonably priced beer and budget trophies.

Awards on the night include ‘Clubman of the Year’, ‘Young Player of the Year’ and ‘Golden Boot’.

Club Dinner – Friday 11th May

Our ever-popular Club Dinner will take place at the Clubhouse on Friday 11th May – please let your captain know or e-mail Richard Gibbs (richard_gibbs@live.co.uk) to confirm your place as soon as possible.

This is THE event of the Football Season – excellent 3-course meal (cooked by our superb chef, Sergio); a wonderful ambience and a marvellous array of speakers to be announced.

SO not an evening to be missed – open to all playing members (women and men), non playing members, ex-members, friends and relations. E-mail richard_gibbs@live.co.uk say “I’ll be there”, sign it (in case your e-mail address is one of those obscure ones which I won’t be able to decipher), turn up and you are guaranteed to have a GREAT TIME.

Dress Code: Smart (suit/jacket and tie).

Chris Bacon

We are sad to report that former AP member Chris Bacon has passed away. Chris played for the vets for many years at right back and was also a good club man partaking in a few beers after the game at the bar.
The funeral is being held on Thursday 26th April at 11am at St. Monica’s Church, 1 Stonard Road, Palmers Green, N13 4DJ.  The commital is at Enfield Crematorium, Great Cambridge Rd, Enfield EN1 4DS. There will be a coach to take everyone there from the church. The wake will be at The Woodman Pub at Chapmore End, Ware, SG12 0HF. A coach will be provided and uber cabs available to take people home again.
