AP 9’s in their inauguaral league match v Crouch End Vamps

This weekend saw the first competitive match for the AP 9’s. Skipper Jon Galloway couldn’t have asked for a better start as they swept aside Crouch End Vamps 5-1. Jan Kortevoss scored a debut hattrick with Raxworthy and Mounir getting the other 2.

The 1’s got their first 3 points on the board with a 1-0 win at home to Old Salesians. The victory was soured with skipper Alex Patterson suffering a broken collar bone. The whole club wish him a speedy recovery. The Reserves made tough work of beating Old Stationers 3-2, twice letting them back in the game, with goals from Gunes, Robinson and contender for goal of the season from Mike Graves. Captain Andy Burwell  headed in the only goal of the game to help the 3’s win 1-0 away to HSBC. The 4’s played out a 1-1 draw with Broomfield 5’s in their league opener. The 5’s got off to a winning start with a 6-1 away win to Norsemen despite playing without a recognized keeper. The 6’s brushed aside Southgate Olympic with a 4-1 victory thanks to goals from Croft, Hodges, Rutherford and Lepkowski. The 7’s got their league campaign off to a winning start with a 2-1 home win against Winchmore Hill. The 8’s were unable to get anything out of their game away to Old Lyonians, losing 3-1 with Crawford grabbing the consolation goal.
