“It ain’t about how hard you can hit. It’s about how hard you can GET hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep – moving – forward” – Rocky Balboa.
We lost this game because we lacked heart. We played a Vamps team that had plenty of spirit and fighting determination, and we lacked it. I am sick of members of the team persistently turning up late and not helping with their club duties. The Vamps lads did everything as a team, and I want everyone to hold onto that feeling of sitting in that changing room listening to them banging on the walls and screaming and use it to focus them for Saturday. Despite a decent start to the season, this has been coming because our attitude has been poor at times. For the first team in a long time I looked at my team mates and thought that some of them were not trying. IF you are selected on Saturday, you need to turn up on time, take part in the warm up and do whatever is asked of you. Otherwise don’t bother.
There will be knocks along the way, but AS A TEAM we can move forward and put it right.
This will hopefully be my only ranting report of the season. Hopefully.
