The usual mixed bag of results coming in to the Racecourse this weekend. It was good news at the top of the club as the first team beat top of the table HSBC with a goal from Kelly and Simpson with the clean sheet. Both the reserves and the 3rd team made progress in the AFA cup. Wilding (2), Hubbard and Harvey scoring in a 4 – 2 win over Citigroup 1s for the reserves and a Brade hat trick was enough to see off Old Finchleians for the 3s. The 4’s were beaten 5 – 2 (TBC) with skipper Lambert and striker and performer Angelo (see video) with the goals. A goal from Sulemanji wasn’t enough for the 5s as they went down 3 – 1 against Broomfield 5s. The 6s had a walkover and the 7s managed a comeback against Broomfield 7s to secure a point – Hyde, Tullet (p) and Roberts on the scoresheet. The 8s went down 2 – 0 against Winchmore Hill.
