Weekend round up

Over dark skies in East London the first team were beaten 3 – 0 at Old Esthamieans and drop to the foot of the league table. Better news for the reserves who edged out HSBCs reserves 2 – 1 Morris and McLoughlin with the goals – lots of the action captured by Neil Marshall. The 3s game was postponed.

The 4s were beaten 2 – 0 at Polytechnic in the 3rd round of the SAL Minor Cup. The 5th team climb to 3rd in the table after a 2 – 1 victory against Winchmore Hill, K. Howarth and McGoohan with the goals in the only game at home this weekend.

Another team now propping up thier division are the 6th team. Skipper Millsy’s announcement of his imminent departure for pastures new couldn’t inspire them to victory against an as yet unbeaten Old Parkonians 7s side. Brade notching in the 2 – 1 defeat. The mysterious but prolific OG scored for the 7s in their 3 – 1 cup defeat against Old Finchleians 7s in the quarter-final of the SAL Junior Novets cup.  The 8s were also postponed.
