Training
A reminder that Pre-season training has now finished – many thanks to Bob Packham and Martin Egan for their efforts in getting players fit and sharp for the new season.
In season training will begin for the 1s-4s on Tuesday 18th September. Sessions will take place at the New River facility on White Hart Lane and will run from 18.45 to 20.00. For costs and other details please speak to your captain.
A note about kit
You will be glad to hear that FIFA his finally cracked down on the horrific practice of players using different coloured tape on their socks.
We have also been warned that other, existing, rules on kit will be more stringently applied this season. Please note the below points from the official laws of the game:
- Stockings/Socks – if tape, or similar material, is applied externally it must be the same colour as that part of the stocking it is applied to.
- If undergarments are worn, the colour of the sleeve must be the same main colour as the sleeve of the jersey or shirt
- Shorts – if undershorts or tights are worn, they must be of the same main colour as the shorts
Please bear the above in mind when choosing your outfit for the weekend, as if you fail to comply the referee may force you to play in your vest and pants.

Please spare a thought for Reserves midfielder Danny Jones who had an outstanding game on saturday – all the more impressive as he played an hour with what turned out to be a broken metatarsal! Get well soon and hope to see you continue your impressive form on your return to action!
