Player Profile – Alex Patterson

20/09/2011 | Alexandra Park FC

Name: Alex Patterson
Born (year/place): 1987 : Luton
Joined AP: 2008
Team/position: 1s – Centre Half
I support… Luton Town F.C
How did last season go… Terribly.
Hopes for this season… Promotion as champions. Nothing else will do!
Best AP moment? Coming off the bench as an auxiliary striker at Bank of England to bag a late and ultimately promotion sealing winner (not that I ever mention it). Any Will Irvine throw in.
AP Teamates…
Most skilful? Les Manu on his day. Some of the new lads in the 1s have top ability. Bruce Mackinnon ruled out by virtue of the fact he literally has one trick. The ‘deceptively quick’ Cruyff turn, coming to a SAL ground near you.
Hardest? Very much N/A
Fittest? Will Irvine. Dreamboat.
Biggest moaner? Me. Apologies.
Who is your Favourite AP player? Alex Reynolds.
Opposition . . . .
Team you love to beat? Any and all. What a pro.
Team you hate to play? Old Parks. Have always been torn to pieces.
Best AFA ground played at? HSBC.

Favourite movie? Rocky
Favourite record? Oasis – Definitely Maybe.
Favourite holiday destination? Paris
If I was in charge of AP I would… Resign.
When I’m not at the Racecourse I… Live in Bow and sell advertising space in business publications. Well you did ask.
Something interesting you don’t know about me My granddad was the first ever Irish boxer to win a European title.

I had a moderate amount of technical ability prior to joining the club.
